Wind Hub Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with site and hub leadership to fulfill contractual obligations based on customer requirements on a daily basis.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or part replacements to rectify malfunctions.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.

• Assist in various aspects of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal supervision, adhering to all safety protocols.

• Execute some diagnostic electrical analyses.

• Record all work performed utilizing computer-based service reporting procedures.

• Collaborate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.

• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

• Basic computer proficiency is necessary.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Capacity to handle repetitive weights of up to 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet daily.

• Willingness and ability to work in diverse environments, including but not limited to industrial and manufacturing facilities.

• Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call as needed by the site. Occasional overnight shifts may be required based on hub demands.
