This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Wind Hub Manager is a strategic position reporting to the Service Director, responsible for cultivating long-term customer relationships, optimizing operations, managing finances, and ensuring hub safety.
• The role encompasses leading a hub team, overseeing daily hub operations, and managing turbine output while demonstrating excellence in leadership, safety, quality control, and financial management.
• Provide direction to support a multi-site service hub.
• Initiate and assist in staffing needs, coaching, training, and taking corrective actions regarding employees and contracted partners, including succession planning.
• Foster a safety culture within the hub, encompassing contracted partners and customers.
• Conduct daily Plan of the Day meetings, prioritizing and managing the dispatch schedule.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to establish long-term relationships that achieve business objectives and fulfill contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with the Customer Performance Director to prioritize and address customer concerns.
• Work with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to achieve deliverables.
• Prioritize turbine performance to meet or exceed performance commitments.
• Be proactive and engaged in all aspects of facility operations, aligning with individual site plans, including innovative problem-solving with a LEAN approach.
• Oversee operations within a multi-site service hub, ensuring regular visits to each site: Promote safety, continue to strengthen customer relationships, and foster team engagement and talent development.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field services or a similar role within the energy sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the hub, possibly requiring overnight stays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Technical Certification in Wind Energy or a related Electrical/Electronic field is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, email programs, facility control and management systems, and diagnostic troubleshooting tools.
• Experience in the wind turbine or energy industry.
• Advanced electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic expertise, including the use of hydraulic power tools.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment necessary for facility maintenance, including knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.
• Strong writing skills to fulfill contractual reporting obligations as needed.
• Thorough understanding of Operations and Maintenance best practices within the industry, including planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and managing wind hub activities, productivity enhancements, and operational excellence in outage management.
• Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to adapt to change and influence others effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Capability, willingness, and adaptability to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.
