This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite visits.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm their expectations have been met and the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Oversee and coordinate upcoming installations, ensuring all site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility are met.
• Deliver high-quality technical support by completing service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Address customer inquiries regarding equipment and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a solid understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to assist customer print production environments.
• Comprehend how RIP software oversees print production and help customers with general operational inquiries.
• Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Aid sales teams by spotting equipment upgrade prospects and assisting with technical assessments.
• Keep precise service records and documentation.
• Thrive in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
• Strong preference for experience with Canon wide format print equipment.
• Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computers and networking.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Solid mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated with the capability to work independently from a home office.
• Willingness and ability to travel about 50% of the time, mainly across the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
