Website Maintenance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Manage a daily queue of client website requests through a ticketing system, which includes content updates, design modifications, and the creation of new landing pages.

• Implement WordPress modifications that involve custom CSS/HTML, template adjustments, and basic to intermediate PHP and JavaScript coding.

• Perform thorough self-quality assurance on each task: confirm functionality across different browsers and devices, and test all forms, links, menus, and interactive components.

• Prepare professional client-facing update summaries for internal evaluation prior to delivery.

• Collaborate closely with developers and account managers to ensure alignment on project scope, requirements, and priorities.

• Recognize trends in recurring issues and propose recommendations for process or template enhancements.

• Maintain all websites securely, organized, and in compliance with development best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in WordPress development with practical experience in themes, plugins, child themes, and custom post types.

• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and a working understanding of PHP and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with leading page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg) and the capability to customize beyond their standard settings.

• Proven experience managing multiple live client websites concurrently.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a self-quality assurance approach before every handoff.

• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

• Prior remote work experience is essential, along with fluency in remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and ideally experience working with US or UK-based companies.
