Web/App Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold detailed test cases and test plans for Web/App functionalities, compatibility, and interactions.

• Design and sustain automated UI/API tests using Java, Python, or JavaScript to ensure extensive coverage and dependability.

• Integrate automation with manual exploratory testing to confirm user scenarios and identify potential experience challenges.

• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and production problems, driving resolutions to completion.

• Detect gaps in test coverage and continuously enhance the effectiveness of automation.

• Engage in testing for new features by defining expected behaviors, system impacts, and risk factors from a user experience viewpoint.

• Execute compatibility testing for applications across various devices, operating system versions, and screen sizes, along with cross-browser and cross-resolution testing for the web.

• Involve in performance testing (such as page load time and App cold/warm start) to ensure stability in high-concurrency and poor-network conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, Python, or JavaScript (live coding assessment is required).

• Extensive experience in Web/App automation testing with tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and others.

• Solid comprehension of Web/App testing methodologies and the design of automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting issues.

• Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis to address complex quality challenges.

• Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) and foundational knowledge of mobile platforms (Android/iOS architecture and characteristics).

• Experience in developing testing tools, platforms, or quality infrastructure.
