QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Improve the quality and dependability of software products by promoting test automation, developing QA infrastructure, and executing strategies that guarantee effective and stable testing processes.

• Lead quality assurance efforts through the design, creation, and upkeep of automated testing solutions for backend services and APIs.

• Develop scalable test automation frameworks, create internal quality tools, and incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to enhance product quality, expand test coverage, and optimize automation execution.

• Examine test results, investigate failures, and conduct root cause analysis.

• Work in partnership with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to boost product quality - Enhancing test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

• Engage in code reviews and establish best practices for automation.

• Contribute to the quality strategy and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Assess and implement modern engineering tools and practices, including AI-assisted development workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation (Middle) or 5+ years (Senior)

• Proficient in Python programming

• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and test design techniques

• Excellent Linux administration and troubleshooting skills

• Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, REST APIs, and client-server architecture

• Experience in API testing, UI testing, and backend validation

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English

• Capable of effectively utilizing AI agents for code generation, debugging, test development, log analysis, and productivity enhancements

• Experience using LLMs to expedite test case creation, automation development, and incident investigation.
