This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, redesign, code, test, implement, and maintain web pages and sections of both agency Internet and intranet websites.
• Develop prototypes that include graphic design, navigation, and layout alternatives.
• Collaborate with attorneys, economists, senior management, administrative personnel, IT support teams, and web team members to achieve project objectives, identify target audiences, establish schedules, and define deliverables.
• Set up website layout, design, formatting, and style guidelines.
• Monitor and analyze web metrics and analytics.
• Investigate, assess, and report on advancements and trends in web design and web services.
• Present concepts and suggestions to a variety of audiences, including senior management.
• Train end users, web staff, and agency trainers on the agency's web services.
• Ensure compliance of web pages with Section 508 and 504 accessibility standards, as well as best practices in usability and information architecture, along with federal and agency regulations.
• Implement, code, and conduct tests on prototypes across various browsers, operating systems, and devices.
• Create, organize, and refine content utilizing plain-writing best practices.
• Provide support to web content administrators and quality assurance analysts.
• Prepare and revise technical documentation including user manuals, job aids, help content, FAQs, policies, procedures, and guidance materials.
• Create organization charts, flow charts, brochures, newsletters, information sheets, and other relevant documentation.
• Assist government and contract personnel, including web content analysts, software developers, quality assurance analysts, managers, and web support staff.
• Develop multimedia training and guidance tutorials.
• Experience with Section 508 / accessibility compliance.
• Familiarity with web analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics or equivalent.
• Experience designing for government, enterprise, or regulated sectors.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Ability to articulate design and content decisions clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.
• Must be eligible to obtain a US DOJ public trust clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen to qualify for federal security clearance.
