Associate Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess incoming RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to devise strategically focused proposal responses.

• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to gather precise information and enhance proposal messaging.

• Develop and oversee original, technical, product-specific content within the proposal content management database.

• Coordinate case-specific proposal response strategies, task lists, and work plans.

• Tailor technical content for strategic sales scenarios in both public and private sector construction markets.

• Ensure adherence to RFP specifications, response frameworks, checklists, and project timelines.

• Handle a high volume of concurrent project requests while ensuring 100% on-time completion.

• Stay updated on construction industry trends and software advancements to improve proposal messaging and strategies.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager, Proposal Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a focus on technical writing.

• Over 2 years of professional experience, preferably in support of RFPs.

• Strong understanding of construction project management processes, SaaS frameworks, and information technology concepts.

• Demonstrated ability to write and source clear, precise, and persuasive technical content tailored to the objectives of the target audience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong listening and interpersonal skills.

• Highly accountable, adaptable, and detail-oriented work approach.

• Proven track record of managing multiple deadlines effectively.

• Previous experience with construction management software like Procore or proposal management platforms such as RFPIO is preferred.
