This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Meet the established annual targets for new business revenue and pipeline development.
• Take ownership of prospecting, opportunity development, qualification, pipeline advancement, pursuit outcomes, and the closing of strategic Wealth opportunities.
• Formulate and implement focused account and market development strategies.
• Identify key organizations, decision-makers, influencers, consultants, and relevant market events.
• Generate qualified opportunities through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and consultant partnerships.
• Keep prospect, activity, pipeline, next steps, and forecasting information updated in the company CRM.
• Conduct early-stage discovery to grasp business priorities, buying criteria, key stakeholders, competitive landscape, timing, and funding.
• Utilize a consistent qualification methodology to document pursuit viability, decision criteria, risks, timing, and subsequent actions.
• Advise on the appropriate timing and methods for Alight to engage with each opportunity.
• Convert prospect challenges into unique value propositions related to defined benefit, defined contribution, retirement advice, and self-directed brokerage solutions.
• Collaborate with solutions, pricing, proposal, legal, and operational teams to strategize pursuit and proposals.
• Provide market and buyer insights throughout RFP, pricing, negotiation, and contracting processes.
• Establish trusted relationships with senior staff, benefits, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Present Alight’s Wealth capabilities in relation to defined benefits, defined contribution, and comprehensive retirement outsourcing opportunities.
• Represent Alight at industry events, conferences, consultant meetings, and targeted prospect interactions.
• Experience in enterprise business development or sales within retirement, benefits, HR outsourcing, or a related field.
• Proven success in managing sales outcomes, generating a qualified pipeline, advancing opportunities, and securing new client relationships to meet assigned objectives.
• Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.
• Excellent skills in discovery, executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and forecasting.
• Ability to translate client requirements into distinct business and solution value.
• Willingness and capability to travel as needed for client and business purposes.
• Preferred: Background in public sector defined benefits, defined contribution, retirement advice, and brokerage solutions.
• Preferred: Experience collaborating with benefits consultants and advisory firms.
• Preferred: Familiarity with total retirement outsourcing connected-benefits strategies.
• Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, or willingness and eligibility to obtain the necessary licenses.
• Must possess work authorization in the Employing Country that currently and in the future does not require visa sponsorship.
