• Select the affiliation model that best suits your practice: W-2, 1099, or a custom structure tailored to your situation.
• Leverage centralized investment management, incorporate your own models, or manage portfolios according to your preferences.
• Assess custodian, platform, and technology options based on what truly aligns with your practice needs.
• Focus on asset-based pricing, transparent economics, and minimize ticket-charge distractions.
• Promote your practice with enhanced opportunities for local branding, advisor voice, and unique positioning.
• Facilitate a smoother transition for clients with support designed to minimize disruption.
• Expand your practice without rigid, one-size-fits-all platform regulations.
• Proven experience as a wealth advisor, financial advisor, or wealth manager.
• Established client relationships or a significant book of business.
• A clean compliance record.
• A planning-oriented, client-centric approach.
• Must be U.S.-based and capable of serving U.S. clients.
• Strong history of client retention.
• A desire to build a sustainable practice rather than merely monetizing a client book through frequent firm changes.
• A more transparent technology cost structure on the independent path.
• Possible transition support based on the compatibility and structure of your practice.
