This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for a utility, apprenticeship sponsor, labor partner, or training provider committed to collaboratively delivering water-trades pathways.

• Assist in defining trainee cohorts, supervisors or mentors, and job-placement pathways leading to roles in water and wastewater sectors.

• Provide non-proprietary insights on program design, including hours, credentials, safety and onboarding procedures, and success metrics.

• Facilitate the coordination of letters of support or MOU language for joint workforce proposals as mutually agreed upon.

• Optionally provide guidance to WIL on evaluation metrics related to completion, placement, and retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently working at a drinking water or wastewater utility, a registered apprenticeship sponsor, a labor organization, a community college or technical school, or a nonprofit training organization focused on the water sector.

• Possess the authority, or a clear path to obtaining authority, to discuss partnership or host-site arrangements.

• Have experience in managing or supporting internships, apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, or bridge programs.

• Willingness to be considered for time-limited collaborations (affiliate, consulting, or institutional partnership).

• Authorized to work with a U.S. research organization.

• Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement; remote-first with travel requirements as partner and fieldwork necessitate.

• Registered apprenticeship standards already established for water or wastewater occupations (preferred).

• Proven track record of measurable trainee placements in utility jobs (preferred).

• Experience with federal or state workforce grants as a partner (preferred).

• A geographic focus that you can host along with an estimated annual trainee capacity (preferred).
