This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding warranty claims.
• Oversee the complete warranty claim lifecycle for covered equipment, which includes gas and steam turbines, generators, MSD, HRSG, and plant BOP.
• Facilitate communication between customers, various functions, and business lines to ensure prompt claim resolution.
• Implement the Global Warranty Governance Framework across assigned sites.
• Conduct investigations to verify the technical and contractual legitimacy of warranty claims.
• Evaluate repair versus replacement options based on technical feasibility, cost implications, schedule impact, and contractual commitments.
• Analyze technical documentation, design specifications, installation records, operational data, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Contract Management, and Global Warranty teams.
• Carry out warranty work and assist in closing punch lists, which includes planning, demand placement, and fulfillment of parts, resources, and tooling.
• Establish and monitor warranty cost controls, estimates, budgets, forecasts, cost recovery, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate financial reviews and track warranty expenditures against budget.
• Assist in root cause analysis and pinpoint recurring defect trends.
• Conduct weekly warranty meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain warranty logs and generate status reports, dashboards, and metrics.
• Document warranty records, correspondence, and decisions thoroughly.
• Support initiatives focused on productivity, process improvement, best practices, and standardization.
• Utilize Lean principles to enhance workflows and operational discipline.
• Aid in the training of Warranty Engineers, CPMs, and process stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline) from an accredited university or college.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry, ideally in services, quality, warranty, or field operations.
• Robust technical understanding of heavy-duty power generation equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, BOP systems, and HRSG.
• Capability to manage costs, forecasts, schedules, and resources while effectively collaborating with and influencing both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professional relationships under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations to visit customer sites or GE facilities.
• Practical experience with gas/steam turbines, generators, or other heavy-duty power generation equipment.
• Familiarity with field service execution, which includes labor, tooling, and third-party vendor management.
• Background in warranty management with strong commercial insight.
• Experience in reading and interpreting commercial/technical contracts and warranty conditions.
• Skills to perform or coordinate root cause analysis and failure mode investigations.
• Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a global, matrixed organization.
• Data-driven decision-making skills in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, particularly under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Proficiency in using AI-based tools to enhance productivity.
