This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Collaborates closely with Area Managers, Region Engineers, and Geopier licensee teams to offer project-specific technical guidance and direction supporting project feasibility and bidding efforts for Geopier design-build solutions.
β’ Works with Area Managers to conduct engineering analyses and prepare design reviews.
β’ Responsible for preparing or reviewing engineering calculations and establishing engineering direction on projects with minimal supervision.
β’ Aids the Design Center review team by conducting slope stability and other geotechnical analyses to develop RAP designs.
β’ Assists in resolving construction challenges and design-related issues.
β’ Reviews and approves Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) and other system designs.
β’ Prepares and presents technical presentations at both internal and external meetings and workshops.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in a geotechnical or structural engineering field.
β’ Strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions.
β’ Experience in reading and interpreting project documents and drawings.
β’ Excellent interpersonal skills - a clear communicator, proficient in both electronic and verbal communication, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
β’ Capable of planning, prioritizing, and driving issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to completion.
β’ Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
β’ Familiarity with computer systems and software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft applications, and other geotechnical software including SLIDE, SLOPE-W, and Settle 3D.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
β’ A PE (Professional Engineer) License is advantageous.
β’ A Master's degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
