Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Collaborates closely with Area Managers, Region Engineers, and Geopier licensee teams to offer project-specific technical guidance and direction supporting project feasibility and bidding efforts for Geopier design-build solutions.

• Works with Area Managers to conduct engineering analyses and prepare design reviews.

• Responsible for preparing or reviewing engineering calculations and establishing engineering direction on projects with minimal supervision.

• Aids the Design Center review team by conducting slope stability and other geotechnical analyses to develop RAP designs.

• Assists in resolving construction challenges and design-related issues.

• Reviews and approves Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) and other system designs.

• Prepares and presents technical presentations at both internal and external meetings and workshops.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a geotechnical or structural engineering field.

• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions.

• Experience in reading and interpreting project documents and drawings.

• Excellent interpersonal skills - a clear communicator, proficient in both electronic and verbal communication, with a professional appearance and demeanor.

• Capable of planning, prioritizing, and driving issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to completion.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.

• Familiarity with computer systems and software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft applications, and other geotechnical software including SLIDE, SLOPE-W, and Settle 3D.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.

• A PE (Professional Engineer) License is advantageous.

• A Master's degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.
