This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +2 more states.
• Supervise the daily operations of an international third-party logistics (3PL) network while spearheading strategic initiatives for warehousing and inventory.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) throughout the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.
• Evaluate, cost, and establish new 3PL partnerships in both existing and emerging international markets.
• Oversee warehouse inventory management, ensuring optimal storage layouts and efficient picking processes.
• Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained across all warehouse sites.
• Guarantee that inventory systems are updated in real time.
• Coordinate annual stock counts and investigate any stock discrepancies.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, warehouse partners, and auditors during stock reconciliation activities.
• Develop, track, and enhance warehouse KPIs.
• Ensure all third-party logistics providers consistently fulfill established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Advise on the most effective fulfilment methods for:
• - Amazon FBA
• - Amazon FBM
• - Website Orders
• - eCommerce Platforms
• - Trade Customers
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Amazon Seller Central, Amazon FBA, Amazon FBM, and Amazon Global Logistics (AGL).
• Assist in replenishment planning for Amazon fulfilment centres.
• Develop and manage annual warehouse forecasts, which include:
• - Inbound volumes
• - Outbound volumes
• - Storage requirements
• - Warehouse resource planning
• Manage forecasting during peak seasons.
• Assess the commercial feasibility of creating a centralised international warehouse.
• Explore global warehousing and distribution alternatives.
• Analyze shipping routes, freight costs, warehouse expenses, and shipment timings.
• Identify new opportunities in warehousing and logistics.
• Prepare business cases and strategic recommendations for senior management review.
• Aim to reduce or eliminate port demurrage charges.
• Lead investigations into damaged or defective inventory and communicate outcomes to the Supply Chain team.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing international logistics and third-party warehouse operations.
• Strong background in overseeing multiple 3PL partners.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
• - Complex formulas
• - Pivot Tables
• - Data analysis
• Strong experience with Power BI.
• Exceptional analytical skills and commercial decision-making capabilities.
• Experience in preparing business cases and delivering recommendations to senior management.
• Familiarity with:
• - Amazon Seller Central
• - Amazon FBA
• - Amazon FBM
• - Amazon Global Logistics (AGL)
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and monitoring SLA performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfortable presenting operational data to senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the capacity to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Proven track record of enhancing warehouse and inventory processes.
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to automate reporting or enhance operational workflows.
