This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
• Make daily allocation decisions for the warehouse across various facilities, adhering to established guidelines regarding eligibility, concentration, advance rates, products, and investor criteria.
• Assist in the execution of daily warehouse funding tasks, including submitting funding files, processing supplemental wires, and handling exceptions.
• Generate and maintain regular reports on warehouse, funding, and collateral to ensure accurate data consistency across Encompass, warehouse systems, and internal tools.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in funding, collateral, and reporting, independently addressing routine issues and escalating higher-risk exceptions as necessary.
• Oversee daily collateral reporting and facilitate return wire activities to ensure timely loan processing and accurate paydowns in the warehouse.
• Monitor warehouse line capacity, usage, and aging trends, promptly notifying senior team members of potential constraints or unusual activities.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets Operations, Funding, Treasury, Accounting, Collateral, and other stakeholders to communicate updates on status, risks, and priorities.
• Enhance daily processes and controls by revising documentation, improving reports and checklists, testing new enhancements, and assisting in minimizing operational risks and turnaround times.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage or capital markets, including familiarity with warehouse lending, funding, collateral, reconciliations, or allocation processes.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace, with experience in managing large datasets, reconciliations, reporting, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Knowledge of loan origination systems like Encompass and warehouse lender reporting tools, with the ability to navigate essential loan data, statuses, and standard reports.
• Understanding of warehouse funding flows, account structures, and the warehouse loan lifecycle, with the capacity to link daily allocation, funding, and collateral activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with good judgment regarding when to address issues independently versus when to escalate them.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a collaborative and adaptable approach to working with various teams and meeting evolving business needs.
