This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Create and implement tailored process flows for industrial water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Design integrated equipment solutions that encompass primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment processes.
• Utilize expertise in treatment technologies, such as clarifiers, dissolved air flotation (DAF/SAF), centrifuges, aerobic treatment systems, and membrane filtration (UF/NF/RO).
• Assess client wastewater characteristics and formulate treatment strategies for organic-loaded effluents typically found in the food and beverage sector.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers to choose, specify, and incorporate treatment technologies into comprehensive system designs.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), establish process design criteria, and create technical documentation.
• Assist in proposal development and technical sales by outlining system configurations and performance specifications.
• Engage in system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization as required.
• Ensure that designs comply with relevant environmental regulations and adhere to industry best practices.
• Work collaboratively with project management, mechanical, and controls teams to deliver complete turnkey water treatment systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a similar field.
• 10–25 years of experience in the field of industrial wastewater treatment engineering.
• Significant hands-on experience with treatment technologies, including clarifiers, centrifuges, DAF/SAF systems, aerobic biological treatment, and membrane filtration systems (UF, NF, RO).
• Demonstrated experience in designing process flow schemes for integrated water treatment systems.
• Familiarity with working alongside equipment vendors and specifying treatment equipment.
• Strong understanding of the wastewater treatment challenges faced by food and beverage processing facilities.
• Capability to analyze wastewater characteristics and convert them into effective treatment solutions.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Experience with high-strength organic wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
• Background in design-build or turnkey water treatment projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of pilot testing, system scale-up, and process optimization is preferred.
