This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Designing and executing a contemporary, integrated cloud/hybrid cloud platform that is both sustainable and aligned with current performance and mission goals.
• Comprehending various components and documenting the complete architecture of the existing cloud/hybrid cloud platform implementation.
• Overseeing the entire technical baseline, including environments and applications, and providing thorough recommendations for enhancing and optimizing the current solution.
• Facilitating the successful achievement of performance objectives related to scalability, reliability, security, resiliency, efficiency, and observability.
• Documenting architectures, dependencies, interfaces, workflows, and processes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborating with multiple teams responsible for implementing each component of the cloud/hybrid cloud platform and infrastructure to ensure alignment with enterprise-level objectives and roadmaps, understanding blockers, reporting status, and collecting metrics.
• Working closely with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into detailed architectural designs (i.e., as-is/to-be) that align with strategic objectives.
• Supporting application, enterprise, and environment engineering teams in developing and deploying solutions that meet performance, security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
• Advocating for efficiency, automation, continuous resource optimization, enhanced platform/cloud services, and ensuring seamless interoperability and integration with existing platforms.
• Continuously assessing and recommending both existing and emerging tools, technologies, and practices that bolster cloud and platform capabilities, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
• Monitoring and fine-tuning cloud and platform services to guarantee high performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively adapt and evolve architectural strategies.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Certification: An active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+).
• Familiarity with cloud/hybrid cloud computing platforms and their services within various security domains.
• Experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex systems that integrate cloud and on-premises platforms with a solid understanding of storage, compute, and throughput capabilities.
• Profound knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native technologies (containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing).
• Strong background in enterprise architecture, systems integration, and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of platform services, middleware, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and cloud management practices.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
• An active Cloud Solutions Architect Expert certification is required.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
