VP – Product Development

📋 Description

• Accountable for thorough product development across all designated business lines.

• Conceptualization, prioritization, design, and successful introduction of new or improved products.

• Guides cross-functional teams in grasping the connection between PURE’s vision, strategies, and departmental initiatives.

• Continuous refinement of long-term product roadmaps.

• Discovery, exploration, negotiation, and cultivation of both new and existing strategic partnerships.

• Direct internal and external research to identify emerging trends, member requirements, and competitor offerings.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Sales, and all relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with Technology to efficiently program and deliver new product developments.

• Craft engaging and enjoyable experiences for members and brokers at every interaction.

• Identify, investigate, and pursue external data sources that could enhance our products.

• Lead joint efforts with the Actuarial Pricing, Data & Analytics, and State Product Management teams.

• Manage a team within the Product Development division.

• Advocate for organizational transformation and talent development.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on committees, external panels, forums, and rate hearings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in Property & Casualty insurance.

• Experience in high net worth personal lines insurance is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to convert strategy into quantifiable performance results.

• Outstanding analytical skills and executive decision-making ability.

• Capacity to influence and align senior leadership across various functions.

• Exemplary integrity and accountability.

• Proven track record of leading teams and significant initiatives with a consultative leadership approach and a growth mindset.

• Extensive knowledge of the P&C insurance sector, including competitors, insurance product pricing, financial drivers of profitability, and a comprehensive understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks.
