VP of Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the operating model that the company aims to implement.

• Develop the capital allocation framework that dictates our funding priorities and sequencing.

• Manage board materials and collaborate on fundraising efforts, including the financial model, narrative, and due diligence process.

• Assist leadership in assessing significant investments, hiring strategies, client opportunities, and growth initiatives.

• Be responsible for the company operating model and ensure it serves as the definitive source for planning.

• Establish ambitious yet achievable budgets and oversee spending in alignment with the plan.

• Direct core FP&A and revenue cycle finance through your team.

• Recruit, manage, and cultivate the finance organization as Leap continues to grow.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are a strategic finance leader rather than merely an FP&A operator.

• You possess 7–10+ years of experience in strategic finance, grounded in investment banking, investing, or a similarly rigorous analytical setting.

• You have experience in leading and building teams. You can recruit, manage, and expand a finance organization, rather than solely performing the tasks yourself.

• You are at ease with uncertainty. You can project business outcomes when the answers are not straightforward, articulate your assumptions, and clarify potential vulnerabilities in the model.

• You understand how to create decision frameworks that are actively utilized by leadership.

• You approach challenges with an underwriter's mindset. You can evaluate an opportunity, construct a compelling case, and support your financial assessment.
