• **The Opportunity**
• CDM is in search of a Vice President of Paid Search to oversee the overall operations, strategy, and future trajectory of one of the company’s most crucial divisions. This position is tailored for a leader who possesses an unwavering passion for Paid Search; someone who is deeply immersed in SEM, comprehends the intricacies of performance ecosystems, and excels in navigating the ever-changing landscape of search marketing.**
• You will be the architect of a top-notch department—crafting the systems, personnel, processes, and strategic direction that define how CDM achieves performance at scale. Your leadership will establish the pace and standards for our high-performing environment, fostering a culture of excellence, clarity, accountability, and high output, while also balancing the empathy and support necessary to cultivate healthy, motivated, and high-performing teams.**
• This role is ideal for a true builder—a strategic operator who has scaled teams, managed seven-figure lead-generation programs, and developed systems that deliver predictable performance in high-stakes situations. You will convert ambiguity into structure, lead with confidence and authority, and collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape the future of CDM’s Paid Search offerings.**
• Substantial experience managing seven-figure monthly budgets, particularly in lead generation, is critical for success in this position.**
• **Requirements:**
• - Over 12 years of extensive Paid Search / SEM experience.
• - More than 5 years in a senior leadership role supervising paid search teams.
• - At least 5 years of direct management of $1M+ in monthly performance advertising expenditures within lead generation settings.
• - Proven history of scaling a department (ideally achieving 4×+ growth) through systems, personnel, and strategic initiatives.
• - Direct experience in hiring, training, and managing senior SEM leaders and multi-layered teams.
• - Demonstrated success in establishing departmental processes, onboarding systems, and operational frameworks.
• - Strong record of leading cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., CRO, development, analytics).
• - Experience collaborating with executive leadership on forecasting, revenue planning, and P&L impact.
• **Preferred:**
• - Over 6 years of Director-level leadership in agency settings.
• - Experience with CRO, oversight of landing page development, or multidisciplinary performance functions.
• - Experience managing 6+ direct reports and teams of 15+.
• - Background in the home improvement, home services, or lead generation sectors.
