VP, Data Center Operations

📋 Description

• Oversee all daily operations within the company's data center portfolio, ensuring accountability for execution, reliability, workforce performance, and site-level discipline.

• Provide leadership to regional operations leaders and site teams by establishing clear expectations, robust operating rhythms, and visible accountability for performance.

• Foster consistency across facilities while maintaining the necessary agility to adapt to local operational realities, customer demands, and shifting business priorities.

• Cultivate a performance-oriented culture centered on safety, ownership, responsiveness, preparation, and continuous improvement.

• Implement rigorous maintenance, ensure data quality, and promote operational adoption of DCIM, BMS, building automation, and control platforms to enhance visibility, standardize execution, and improve portfolio performance.

• Manage the operational performance and lifecycle review of mission-critical facility infrastructure, which includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, cooling, life safety, critical power, generation, UPS, switchgear, and supporting systems necessary for maintaining uptime and customer confidence.

• Guarantee strong maintenance discipline, technical readiness, facility inspections, incident preparedness, and operational rigor across all sites.

• Provide executive oversight for Environmental Health and Safety programs within the operations organization.

• Lead physical security operations and ensure disciplined execution of site access, life safety, and risk management protocols.

• Convert enterprise standards, training, reporting, operational intelligence, and control-related insights into high-quality execution throughout the field organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in mission-critical operations, industrial operations, or similarly complex environments where uptime, safety, and technical discipline are essential.

• Extensive experience leading multi-site operations teams with accountability for performance across various geographies.

• In-depth expertise in data center or similarly critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-intensive environments.

• Proven track record of enhancing operational consistency, workforce performance, reliability, and execution quality on a large scale.

• Experience managing through incidents, heightened operational risk, and periods of organizational growth or transformation.

• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, physical security, and risk management principles in operational contexts.

• Exceptional executive communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across different functions and levels.
