This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and direct the enterprise CDI vision, long-term strategy, operational model, and capability roadmap for Honest Health.
• Clarify the role of CDI within clinical operations, value-based care, partner performance, technology, compliance, and provider engagement.
• Create enterprise governance, decision-making rights, policies, and performance standards for CDI initiatives.
• Ensure executive accountability for the performance, quality, scalability, and effectiveness of the CDI portfolio.
• Set objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and executive reporting mechanisms.
• Identify enterprise opportunities and prioritize CDI initiatives based on clinical, coding, operational, and financial data.
• Provide strategic oversight for new CDI programs, partnerships, markets, technologies, and service offerings.
• Manage compliance, monitoring, auditing, escalation, and corrective action processes.
• Develop a strategy for provider documentation education, engagement, adoption, and performance improvement.
• Represent CDI in strategic partner discussions, performance evaluations, and complex issue resolutions.
• Define the technology and data strategy for CDI, including documentation platforms, analytics, workflow tools, reporting, and EHR integration.
• Assess automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies for clinical documentation.
• Build, lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing CDI organization.
• Advise executive leadership on CDI performance metrics, opportunities, capability requirements, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Product, Analytics, Operations, Finance, and Market leaders.
• Represent CDI in enterprise planning, operational reviews, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health information management, healthcare administration, nursing, business, or a relevant field is required.
• Current CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or other comparable nationally recognized coding or health information credentials are required.
• Outpatient CDI, clinical documentation, auditing, or compliance credentials are preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in clinical documentation integrity, risk-adjustment coding, coding quality, or related healthcare operations.
• At least 7 years of leadership experience, including managing leaders and multi-layered teams.
• Experience in establishing or significantly enhancing enterprise CDI capabilities, governance, and performance management practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CMS risk-adjustment coding, HCC documentation, ICD-10 coding, auditing, and relevant compliance standards.
• Experience supporting value-based care organizations, provider organizations, health systems, health plans, or other complex healthcare delivery environments.
• Proven experience leading large-scale operational, technology, or workflow transformations.
• Experience in developing executive-level strategies, operational plans, budgets, business cases, and performance reports.
• Strong executive presence and effective communication skills with senior leaders, clinicians, partners, and governing bodies.
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment characterized by changing priorities and organizational structures.
