This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Join us in transforming the world at Achieve Lending! We are embarking on an extensive transformation, driven by an ambitious three-year strategy aimed at significantly expanding our lending operations.
• Achieve is on the lookout for a seasoned, analytical, and transformative leader to take on the role of Head of Capital Markets.
• This position will be responsible for developing the strategic multi-year funding roadmap that will support our growth at Achieve, directly reporting to the President of Achieve Lending.
• You will establish the performance plan for loan sales and securitization, with full accountability for the results.
• Design and direct Achieve's funding stack as a well-diversified asset portfolio, optimizing across crucial areas: Cost of Capital, Certainty of Takeout, Capacity, and Resilience.
• Collaborate with our technology team to transform outdated funding processes into a dynamic, automated Capital Allocation Engine.
• Supervise the creation of an institutional-grade unified loan data warehouse and a self-service investor reporting portal.
• Enhance organizational collaboration between the Capital Markets team and the broader Achieve team by overseeing cross-functional operating rhythms.
• Spearhead the strategic development and capital design of Achieve’s growing product suite, facilitating growth into new asset classes.
• 12+ Years of Senior Experience: A strong background in consumer structured finance, investment banking, asset management, or fintech capital markets platforms, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the Capital Markets function.
• Proven Track Record: A solid history of managing programmatic ABS platforms, negotiating committed forward-flow and warehouse facilities, and navigating complex liquidity scenarios.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a similarly quantitative field. An MBA, CFA, or advanced degree in quantitative finance is highly desirable.
• Distinguished Expert: A blend of Wall Street transaction experience and contemporary data-driven strategy. You are well-versed in structural waterfalls, stress simulations, and advanced modeling techniques.
• Owner Mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage results, approach investor demand as a managed portfolio, and link capital markets outcomes directly to long-term enterprise value creation.
• Transparent Communicator: Outstanding relationship-building abilities, with a leadership style focused on proactive transparency to foster trust both internally and with external partners.
• People & Culture Leader: Experience in building high-performing, cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance, while promoting a results-oriented culture centered on swift execution and strategic impact.
