📋 Description

• Act as the chief leader tasked with executing and enhancing the fundraising strategy for the National Domestic Workers Alliance.

• Direct the organization's development team and meet annual fundraising targets across individual, institutional, and aligned revenue streams.

• Offer leadership, management, and strategic guidance for development operations, focusing on individual contributions, particularly major donor engagement, foundation fundraising, and initiatives for revenue growth.

• Create annual fundraising plans, establish revenue goals, and set performance metrics.

• Spearhead efforts to diversify and reinforce revenue streams from individual, institutional, and aligned funding sources.

• Provide strategic fundraising advice to senior leadership.

• Set annual objectives, performance standards, and professional development plans for the development team.

• Ensure the implementation of effective fundraising systems, processes, and reporting frameworks.

• Work collaboratively with Communications, Digital, Finance, and Program teams to ensure fundraising efforts align with organizational priorities.

• Represent NDWA to donors, funders, partners, and peers in the sector as needed (approximately 25% travel may be required).


⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, including a proven record of leading major gifts and institutional fundraising initiatives.

• At least 5 years of experience managing fundraising personnel, including oversight of senior-level leaders.

• Proven success in securing and managing six-figure and multi-million dollar contributions.

• Experience in leading development teams within complex nonprofit, advocacy, movement-building, or social justice organizations.

• Strong understanding of fundraising operations, donor management systems, revenue forecasting, and performance evaluation.

• Experience managing fundraising initiatives within 501(c)(3) organizations; familiarity with 501(c)(4) and PAC fundraising structures is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership capabilities.

• A strong commitment to racial justice, worker empowerment, immigrant rights, and equity-centered leadership.
