Vice President, States Initiatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee a comprehensive portfolio aimed at ambitious reforms within state governments.

• Formulate and implement a scalable strategy for state engagement.

• Develop a collection of investments focused on state initiatives.

• Foster partnerships throughout the ecosystem.

• Establish forums and infrastructure that facilitate organizational engagement.

• Enhance advocacy efforts and build political coalitions to support reform.

• Gather and synthesize insights from initiatives and invest in knowledge infrastructure.

• Contribute to the development of a high-performing organization while managing a geographically diverse team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in government reform, public sector innovation, or similar fields, typically ranging from 10 to 20 years.

• Experience working in or closely with state government entities.

• Familiarity with the rhythms, constraints, and political dynamics of state government.

• Ability to enhance field capacity and create effective ecosystems for organizations.

• Proven capability to develop scalable strategies.

• Skill in building trust-based relationships across different ideological perspectives.

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

• An AI-driven approach to work and strategy development.

• Self-motivated strategic leadership.
