VP Analyst, AI Infrastructure – Heads of I&O

• Develop innovative and thought-provoking content that delivers essential insights.

• Generate fresh insights and ideas through thought leadership, offering compelling and actionable methods to meet client needs that enhance their ability to act swiftly.

• Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover the root causes of client barriers or requirements and reshape thinking to advance strategy.

• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing insight positions within a team of analysts.

• Present independent and provocative insights to Gartner leaders that can influence the direction of the research agenda.

• Investigate, analyze, and forecast market trends and changes to equip clients and vendors with actionable insights.

• Deliver actionable advice to clients and prospects aligned with their content area through virtual or in-person engagements.

• Create and present high-value materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings, both on and off stage.

• Support BTI and Sales by serving as the market voice to assist Insights teams in content creation and drive client engagement to advance their critical business objectives.

• Provide timely and high-quality content peer reviews.

• Establish credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner’s insights, methodologies, and strategies.

• Actively engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating effectively with colleagues in the Insights community.

• Identify improvements in research processes or develop new processes that enhance service delivery by the team and BTI.

• Mentor and coach junior team members to foster their growth.

• Maintain a client-centric focus, actively encouraging clients to engage frequently with Gartner insights and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in the field or industry.

• Extensive I&O experience for Heads of I&O: Proven leadership in Infrastructure & Operations at a senior level in mid- or large-sized organizations, with recent, hands-on executive experience and familiarity with AI use cases and infrastructure across various industries and geographies.

• Expertise in AI Infrastructure: Knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, ASICs, ARM processors, distributed training pipelines, and model-serving architectures, understanding the foundations that enable AI.

• Technical proficiency in constructing robust AI infrastructure.

• Experience in strategy and architecture, including data ingestion and processing, networking solutions, cloud infrastructure, platforms, DevOps, and frameworks.

• Business-savvy strategist: Background in building TCO models, ROI analyses, and forecasts for substantial AI investments, particularly in Infrastructure and Operations.

• Integration Architect: Experience in connecting AI infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, AIOps/MLOps, and automation technologies.

• Champion of Security and Sustainability: Proven track record in implementing best practices in governance, compliance, data protection, and green computing.

• Display executive presence and establish credibility with executives and other stakeholders effortlessly.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.

• Excellence in research and writing abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and presentation capabilities; adept at engaging clients and responding effectively to inquiries.

• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; capable of applying patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions in response to client challenges.

• Effective communicator who can simplify complex concepts clearly and concisely.

• Subject matter expert comfortable speaking at both large and small-scale events.

• Strong business and financial acumen.

• In-depth knowledge of the global competitive landscape related to the subject area and its market dynamics.

• Ability to work independently, while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support others in a multicultural global environment.

• Learning agile and skilled in navigating complex, matrixed environments.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all levels.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 25% (when applicable).
