This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design engaging, motion-driven experiences across various platforms including in-app interfaces, web, email, lifecycle communications, and product marketing.
• Develop animations, motion studies, animated illustrations, iconography, and interaction patterns.
• Lead visual and motion-design projects from the initial concept and storyboarding phase through to production and implementation.
• Contribute to product-design efforts by mapping user flows, creating interaction concepts, and delivering solutions through high-fidelity design and prototyping.
• Create and expand reusable visual assets, motion patterns, guidelines, and components.
• Collaborate with teams in Product Design, Design Systems, Product, Engineering, Brand, Content Design, Lifecycle, and Growth.
• Prepare production-ready assets and specifications, partnering with engineers to ensure accessibility, performance, and accurate implementation.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in motion, animation, visual, communication, or product design within a product-focused environment.
• A portfolio showcasing strong motion and visual design skills, including animation, interaction, illustration, and storytelling across digital product experiences.
• In-depth knowledge of animation principles, such as timing, pacing, easing, transitions, and choreography.
• Proficient in After Effects, LottieFiles, Rive, or similar software.
• Mastery of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, LottieFiles, and relevant 2D/3D animation tools.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS and the technical constraints present in production environments, particularly for email and mobile.
• Experience in UX and product design, including user flows, interaction design, information hierarchy, and motion for comprehensive experiences.
• Capable of storyboarding, prototyping, and effectively communicating design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to independently manage defined projects, articulate design rationale, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
