Virtualization Backup Engineer, Italian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conducting troubleshooting and analysis, including the examination of log files.

• Serving as a technical point of contact in collaboration with fellow IT professionals.

• Managing customer issues from the initiation of a support case to resolution, troubleshooting within Veeam as well as third-party components from Microsoft and VMware, determining whether the issue is known or unknown, assessing if it’s a defect or misconfiguration, rectifying it as a break/fix scenario, and educating the customer on the process and interactions involved.

• Accurately documenting all customer interactions within SLA in our CRM system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Italian and English (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Advanced user or administrative experience in the following areas: Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025, Windows 10 / 11.

• Practical understanding of TCP/IP (operating systems, firewall configuration) as well as networking configuration and troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS).

• Familiarity with UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, and database engines (SQL/Oracle) is a plus.

• Capability to rapidly learn, comprehend, and articulate technical information.

• Willingness and ability to take ownership of client issues until they are resolved.

• Strong time management skills.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
