Junior Protection & Control Specialist – Technologist/Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Aid in the installation, testing, and commissioning of protective relays, RTUs, and communication devices.

• Provide support for the testing of feeders, transformers, breakers, and substation systems.

• Interpret and read wiring diagrams and schematics effectively.

• Assist with relay testing (SEL, GE) under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Gather and document field data and test outcomes.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good condition.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience (including co-op/internship opportunities).

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.

• Basic understanding of power systems is beneficial.

• Strong eagerness to learn and enhance technical competencies.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout BC.

• Legally permitted to work in Canada.
