Virtual Teacher, Visually Impaired – NY Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Utilize the educator portal to identify job opportunities that align with your certification.

• Instruct using the school’s curriculum via the district's virtual platform.

• Create lesson plans that are in accordance with the class curriculum.

• Inspire creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning environment.

• Engage students and promote their learning through considerate, relationship-oriented approaches.

• Monitor and document student grades and overall performance.

• Participate in district professional development workshops and faculty meetings.

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is present with the students.

• Provide virtual instruction and assist students in completing their courses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States.

• Must have an active New York State Student with Disabilities certification along with Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is necessary.

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and a stable internet connection.

• Willingness to participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration.

• A background check is required as part of the application process.

• Previous online teaching experience is advantageous.
