This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours each day, on every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and well-structured virtual classroom environment that motivates student participation and success. This live instructional delivery is a core aspect of the role.
• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction, identify learning gaps, and adjust your teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs.
• Offer prompt, constructive feedback on student assignments and maintain accurate records to keep students and their families informed and on track.
• Establish authentic relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that builds trust and shared responsibility for educational outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure that students receive consistent, high-quality support throughout their learning journey.
• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline and hold an active state teaching license in Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, and/or Wisconsin for Science grades 6-12.
• You have experience in teaching within virtual and/or in-person settings and are adept at navigating the unique challenges of a live online classroom.
• You are confident and engaging on camera, capable of teaching live for five (5) or more consecutive hours each instructional day, while fostering genuine connections with students through a digital medium.
• You have practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software.
• You are data-informed: you can interpret student performance data and use it to enhance your live instruction in impactful ways.
• You excel in communication, both written and verbal, and know how to connect with students, families, and colleagues effectively.
• You are highly organized and self-motivated, with the time management skills necessary to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote setting.
• You are dedicated to your own professional development, maintaining certification and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
• You embody integrity, warmth, and a strong belief that every student can succeed, values that resonate with Edmentum’s mission.
