This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Certified teachers will work full-time from home, overseeing instructional programs.
• They will engage regularly with learning coaches and students through various curriculum and communication tools to ensure every child successfully completes their instructional program.
• The Middle School Math Teacher will be accountable for the successful execution of the following responsibilities:
• Enhance the instructional program by facilitating asynchronous web conferencing sessions and providing synchronous instruction;
• Ensure timely completion of all grading, creation of progress reports, and conduct parent conferences;
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, offer feedback on student work, suggest instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and coach special projects;
• Acquire a general understanding of the entire K-12 curriculum while having an in-depth knowledge of the grades for which they are responsible;
• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies and provide additional support for daily assignments and projects;
• Keep student records and data current, including online student and family information, attendance records, and documentation of all student and parent interactions;
• Collaborate with team members and staff learning specialists to create alternative enrichment activities and modifications to enhance student understanding;
• Develop and implement virtual strategies to foster a “school community”;
• Participate in the organization and management of State Testing, as required;
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives necessitating teacher representation.
• Attend field trips and community activities organized for families;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be certified to teach Middle School Math in South Carolina (appropriate for grade level responsibilities).
• Candidates must reside in South Carolina.
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement is highly recommended.
• Strong technological proficiency, particularly with MS Office programs and Google Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated track record as a team player.
• Willingness to occasionally travel for school and state testing events (may involve some overnight travel).
• Capability to work remotely when necessary.
• Availability to work some occasional evening hours to support certain families.
• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
