Virtual Teacher, CTE-Computer Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) hours or more each day.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction and modify your teaching methods.

• Offer timely and constructive feedback on student assignments while keeping accurate records.

• Establish authentic relationships with students and their families through professional communication.

• Collaborate with educational partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support for students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline, along with an active teaching license in Minnesota and/or New Jersey for CTE-Computer Science grades 6-12.

• Experience teaching in both virtual and traditional classroom environments.

• Comfortable navigating the unique challenges of a live online classroom setting.

• Engaging and confident on camera, capable of conducting live sessions for five (5) or more consecutive hours daily.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms, virtual teaching tools, and standard productivity software.

• Data-informed: adept at interpreting student performance data to adjust live instruction accordingly.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Highly organized and self-motivated, with effective time management skills to handle a full student caseload.

• Dedicated to personal professional development, maintaining certification, and staying updated on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices.
