This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver virtual speech therapy sessions that are centered around students and aligned with their IEPs.
• Carry out thorough speech-language assessments using Parallel’s exclusive Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, assess, and enhance Individualized Education Programs.
• Attend IEP meetings and offer dedicated case management for students with “Speech Only” designations as needed.
• Methodically record session data and track student progress to provide valuable insights during IEP consultations.
• Create comprehensive, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle.
• Provide specialized state-specific services, which include AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and supervision of SLPA.
• Possession of the current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Valid SLP license in Virginia.
• At least 1 year of full-time experience in a school setting conducting IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (after CFY). Preferably, 2+ years of experience for case management roles.
• Proven expertise in the IEP process, educational eligibility assessments, and the ability to compose comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Previous experience with Medicaid billing systems is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to establish rapport with students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Proficient in technology, particularly with virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.
• Availability during standard school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
• Multilingual proficiency is regarded as a significant benefit.
