This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver virtual speech therapy sessions that are centered around students and aligned with IEP objectives.
• Perform thorough speech-language evaluations using Parallel’s proprietary Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, oversee, and enhance Individualized Education Programs.
• Engage in IEP meetings and provide dedicated case management for students needing "Speech Only" services as necessary.
• Methodically track session data and monitor student progress to provide valuable insights during IEP consultations.
• Prepare comprehensive, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle.
• Offer specialized services tailored to state requirements, including AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and supervision of SLPA.
• Possession of a current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Active SLP license in the state of Illinois.
• At least 1 year of full-time school-based experience in providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (post-CFY). A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred for case management roles.
• Proven expertise in the IEP process, educational eligibility assessments, and crafting comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Previous experience with Medicaid billing systems is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Proficient in using virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.
• Availability during regular school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
• Multilingual proficiency is considered a valuable asset.
