This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the primary educator and main instructor across all core subject areas and grade levels.
• Diligently strive to achieve all objectives related to student success and school culture, along with meeting state-specific academic accountability standards.
• Conduct highly effective live lessons via web conferencing tailored to student needs, based on research-backed teaching methodologies.
• Set up courses for each class within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading for assignments.
• Maintain regular contact with each student.
• Collaborate with the Principal to generate and distribute Student Progress Reports.
• Frequently review student-level data to guide adjustments to the instructional program.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all students.
• Apply research-informed best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous teaching.
• Create a joyful, caring, and nurturing classroom atmosphere for all students.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching methods into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Enforce school-wide cultural expectations and standards both inside the classroom and in other settings.
• Regularly communicate with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional development.
• Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into everyday classroom practices and team collaborations.
• Engage in the planning and execution of non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips, attending these events in person.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, humbly, and respectfully with all colleagues.
• Travel annually to support mandatory in-person state testing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A valid State teaching license in the appropriate subject area.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience is preferred.
• A high level of comfort in a growth-oriented coaching environment characterized by frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress assessments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
• Capability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students in all school environments.
• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
