This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collaborate effectively with classroom educators to interpret the strengths and challenges of students, aiding in classroom intervention techniques, adjusting the general education curriculum as needed, and supporting students with regular classwork.
• Administer diagnostic assessments to guide instruction.
• Carry out functional behavior assessments.
• Develop and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Lead IEP Meetings and formulate IEP goals and objectives.
• Diligently strive to achieve all objectives related to student performance and school culture, in addition to meeting state-specific achievement targets.
• Employ research-based best practices in daily lesson planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Act as an advisor for a specific group of students.
• Maintain regular communication with families about their child's academic and social-emotional development.
• Engage in the planning and execution of non-instructional events such as social gatherings and field trips.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a full room inclusion model or Co-Teaching within a Resource Room setting.
• Strong comfort level in a growth-oriented coaching environment characterized by frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress tracking.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Capability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• Ability to successfully pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).
