Virtual Elementary Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary instructor and teacher of record for elementary education.

• Consistently strive to achieve all objectives related to student success and classroom culture, as well as state-specific academic accountability standards.

• Conduct highly effective live lessons through web conferencing tailored to student needs, grounded in research-based instructional methods.

• Set up courses within the Learning Management System for every class.

• Monitor students' progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading on assignments.

• Maintain regular contact with each student.

• Collaborate with the Principal to create and present Student Progress Reports.

• Frequently review student-level data to adjust instructional programs accordingly.

• Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students.

• Employ research-based best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous teaching.

• Foster a joyful, caring, and loving classroom atmosphere for every student.

• Integrate culturally responsive teaching methods into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Implement school-wide cultural expectations and norms, both in the classroom and in other settings.

• Maintain regular communication with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional development.

• Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into daily classroom activities and team collaborations.

• Engage in the planning and execution of non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips, and attend these events in person.

• Collaborate and communicate with colleagues effectively, humbly, and respectfully.

• Travel annually to support required face-to-face state testing.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current Idaho teaching license in the relevant content area.

• Preference for candidates residing in Idaho.

• Understanding of State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Ideally, two years of teaching experience.

• High comfort level in a growth-focused coaching environment involving frequent observations, debriefings, action planning, and progress monitoring.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.

• Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.

• Capability to stand for up to 90 minutes continuously.

• Ability to supervise students across all school environments.

• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks.

• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
