
Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based virtual care that encompasses assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health problem management, counseling, and planning for patient disposition.
• Offer education and treatment regarding pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer sex practices, contraceptive care, and medication management.
• Assess primary care, acute care, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and address inquiries related to patient care.
• Record all patient interactions in an EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with both internal and external colleagues to coordinate patient care, including interactions with the broader patient-centered medical home.
• Work effectively alongside Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients as well as the practice.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice in Tennessee.
• Reside within three hours of the Tennessee border.
• At least two years of relevant medical experience or an equivalent background.
• Completion of a Master’s Degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Possession of current National Board Certification.
• State license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.
• Ability to work independently and practice autonomously.
• Proficient in information management and technology.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues to ensure quality care.
• Minimum availability of 9 hours per week, including every third weekend.
• Availability for evening and overnight shifts.
• Reliable broadband connectivity and a quiet environment with a neutral background for virtual consultations.
• Commitment to maintaining patient privacy in accordance with CVS Health guidelines.
• Competence in using computers and phones, ability to communicate clearly, hear patient responses, and read from computer screens and electronic devices.
• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.
• Willingness and ability to pursue additional licensure if hired.
