This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Act as the primary instructor and teacher of record for Agriculture CTE courses.
• Provide instruction that aligns with the Ohio Agriculture & Environmental Systems Career Field standards.
• Design and execute standards-based lessons that incorporate project-based learning and real-world applications.
• Equip students with the skills needed for industry-recognized credentials within the agriculture sector.
• Facilitate and incorporate Work-Based Learning (WBL) experiences, which include career exploration, supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs), and connections with employers.
• Create, support, and manage an active FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter, focusing on leadership development and event participation (if applicable).
• Align curriculum and teaching methods with WebXam end-of-course assessments.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to the needs of diverse learners, including those who require additional academic or career readiness support.
• Monitor and assist students in their progress towards graduation pathways and career readiness objectives.
• Maintain precise records, including grades, attendance, student progress, and necessary CTE documentation.
• Collaborate with administration, CTE leadership, and support staff to uphold program quality and compliance.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local industry partners, community organizations, and postsecondary institutions.
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student growth and professionalism.
• Regularly communicate with students, families, and stakeholders regarding student progress and available opportunities.
• Participate in mandatory meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Aid in student recruitment, retention, and engagement in CTE programming.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, agriculture, or a related area.
• Valid Ohio Agriculture CTE teaching license or the ability to obtain the necessary licensure.
• Strong understanding of agriculture industry practices and credentialing opportunities.
• Experience with project-based learning, experiential learning, and/or career-connected instruction.
• Knowledge of Work-Based Learning and the development of student career pathways.
• Familiarity with Ohio CTE requirements, WebXam assessments, and program expectations is preferred.
• Capability to analyze student data to guide instruction and enhance student success.
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and collaboration.
• Proficiency in technology and instructional tools.
• Ability to engage with diverse student populations and address varying learning needs.
