This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work in collaboration with the marketing team to create video concepts and storyboards that engage, inform, and immerse viewers in the Semester at Sea experience.
• Capture and manage 4K video footage in the field using professional cameras and equipment to generate content tailored for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
• Record and edit high-quality audio for video projects utilizing industry-standard equipment with efficiency and precision.
• Set up and employ professional lighting techniques to properly illuminate subjects and enhance the overall quality of the videos.
• Review recorded footage, execute editorial decisions, perform rough cuts, adjust audio, conduct color grading and correction, and complete final edits using Adobe Premiere CC, After Effects CC, and/or Adobe Media Encoder CC.
• Capture, edit, and export still images using Adobe Lightroom.
• Co-manage, supervise, and assist shipboard student assistants (4-5) and student scholars (4-5) in meeting financial aid and scholarship requirements, including creating voyage content, aiding in production, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and fulfillment of financial aid and scholarship obligations.
• Exhibit adaptability and cultural sensitivity by achieving results while operating across various time zones, cultures, and in a dynamic travel or shipboard setting.
• Maintain regular communication with the home office and shipboard supervisor to gather event information, stay updated on shipboard conditions, and capture timely content regarding ongoing activities.
• Bachelor's degree in video or film production or equivalent experience (4-5 years of relevant professional experience in videography, editing, or photography).
• 1-2 years of professional experience in producing video content that aligns with brand objectives and client requirements, with an emphasis on professional platforms over personal influencer accounts.
• A digital portfolio or website showcasing advanced videography that highlights high-quality lighting and audio elements, including projects formatted for various platforms.
• Experience utilizing professional photo and video cameras, lighting equipment, lavalier wireless microphones, zoom audio recorders, and boom microphones.
• Possess a reliable kit of professional videography equipment, including a high-performance laptop capable of editing 4K footage.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and Lightroom) on both PC and Mac.
• Familiarity with Semester at Sea® and a desire to creatively convey the program's value through visual media.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport and necessary visas, in addition to any vaccinations as advised by a healthcare provider or required by the program.
• One-time voyage preparation stipend of $500.
• Travel assistance to help offset the costs of travel to and from the ship.
• Coverage of Field Programs and Field Classes (subject to needs and availability as determined by the ISE Marketing and Communications Team).
• Passage, room, and board on the Vessel throughout the Term of the Agreement.
• Medical Emergency and Evacuation insurance coverage.
