This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• You will create content for Soulbound utilizing the most innovative content creation systems within the indie MMO sector.
• Our tools enable you to design quests in mere seconds that become visible in the game in real time.
• In your initial days, you'll be generating content instead of making coffees.
• Conceptualize and develop quests, encounters, and narrative content using our exclusive systems.
• Suggest content ideas and present them to the leadership team.
• Obtain direct feedback from the creative director and other leaders.
• Quickly iterate — our systems update in real time, allowing you to see your contributions live immediately.
• Gain experience in writing proposals and professionally presenting ideas.
• A portfolio showcasing creative work — games, mods, campaigns, events, writing, art, or any evidence of your ability to create and deliver.
• A true enthusiasm for gaming — especially RPGs, MMORPGs, indie games, and top-down/pixel art games.
• A strong academic background or proven critical thinking skills — university students, recent graduates, or postgraduates are preferred, but not mandatory if you can demonstrate your capabilities.
• Self-driven and proactive — you don't wait for instructions.
• Resilient — you can handle direct, sometimes harsh feedback and use it as a tool for improvement.
• Willing to commit significant hours — this role requires more than just a weekly check-in.
• **Nice to Have:**
• Experience with game design tools (any engine, modding tools, or level editors).
• Understanding of pixel art or top-down game aesthetics.
• Experience managing D&D campaigns, tabletop RPGs, or organizing gaming events.
• Familiarity with game design principles (progression, quest design, encounter design, narrative).
• Develop a genuine portfolio on a live game with over 1 million players.
• Direct access to the studio founder and creative leadership.
• Learn professional game design processes — proposals, pitches, iteration.
• Work with state-of-the-art content creation tools and agents.
• Flexible hours — accommodate your studies or other responsibilities.
• Remote work — operate from anywhere.
• A real opportunity for continued roles for exceptional performers.
• Join a small, agile indie studio where your work is released and seen by players.
