This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Edit and compile raw multi-camera reaction footage, ensuring a seamless integration of primary talent commentary, PIP source media, and visual enhancements.

• Create engaging video intros and hooks that effectively deliver on title and thumbnail promises within the initial 30 seconds.

• Implement rapid pacing, comedic timing, and visual elements, including kinetic typography, memes, and custom tracking graphics.

• Conduct high-quality sound design, incorporating impactful sound effects, dynamic music adjustments, and precise audio balancing for clarity of voice.

• Work closely with Lead Editors and creative teams to integrate fast turnaround notes and feedback cycles.

• Review YouTube retention analytics with lead editors to identify drop-off points and refine pacing strategies for future edits.

• Keep project timelines in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects highly organized and clean, conforming to internal post-production guidelines.

• Collaborate with the thumbnail team to ensure that visual assets and key video highlights align with the channel's creative direction.

• Stay updated with internet culture and viral editing trends to consistently introduce fresh humor and visual diversity into channel content.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience concentrating on high-paced YouTube, commentary, or viral digital content.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, particularly in keyframing, motion tracking, masking, and dynamic linking.

• Strong understanding of YouTube algorithm mechanics, Average View Duration (AVD), click-through rate (CTR), and retention curve analytics.

• Expertise in dynamic sound design, audio leveling, and music selection to amplify comedic and emotional transitions.

• A data-oriented mindset that values viewer retention data over personal creative preferences.

• High sensitivity to feedback, with the capacity to respond to rapid creative critiques constructively and adapt swiftly.

• Remarkable attention to detail, ensuring frame-by-frame accuracy in pacing and visual overlays.

• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workflows, including file compression, color grading, and final exports optimized for YouTube.

• Strong sense of ownership regarding video performance, production timelines, and technical precision.
