This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the video content strategy for Chamber of Progress, focusing on policy, communications, and advocacy initiatives.
• Create, edit, and assemble short-form videos for social media, digital advocacy, press interactions, and storytelling for the organization.
• Transform policy concepts, campaign messages, research insights, and earned media moments into engaging and clear video content.
• Collaborate with communications, campaigns, policy, and government relations teams to pinpoint video opportunities linked to legislative, regulatory, and news events.
• Produce video content across various formats and platforms, including vertical social clips, explainers, event summaries, interview segments, rapid-response videos, and updates for partners.
• Manage graphics, captions, thumbnails, b-roll, stock footage, music, and other production components.
• Ensure a consistent visual and editorial style for all video content produced by Chamber of Progress.
• Monitor the performance of video content and suggest improvements to enhance reach, engagement, and overall impact.
• Coordinate with external vendors or freelancers for specialized production, animation, filming, or paid media projects as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative Director and the Senior Director of Communications.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of work experience post-college in video production, digital media, communications, campaigns, journalism, advocacy, or a similar field.
• Proficient video editing skills and familiarity with contemporary video production tools.
• Proven capability to produce high-quality short-form video content swiftly.
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to clarify and engage with complex policy issues.
• Knowledge of social media platforms, digital trends, and platform-specific video formats.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to handle multiple deadlines in a high-paced setting.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a tendency towards action.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week, including participation in a 10am ET staff meeting from Monday to Thursday, and committing a minimum of four hours daily Monday to Thursday and three hours on Friday.
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Descript, After Effects, and Premiere is advantageous.
• Must be located remotely within the continental U.S.
• Part-time contractor position, requiring 20 hours per week.
• Monthly contract compensation ranging from $3,700 to $5,800, based on experience.
• This role does not include benefits or full-time status.
• Remote work location within the continental U.S. is acceptable.
