
Video Content Strategist – Storyboards

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• You will be responsible for transforming our proprietary data and the Founder’s expertise into a consistent flow of impactful content for LinkedIn and YouTube.
• You will take charge of the editorial strategy, create recurring content formats, write or ghostwrite posts, design video storyboards, and oversee the creative team that brings everything to life.
• You will conduct biweekly sessions lasting 60–90 minutes with the Founder to gather insights, opinions, and narratives from client projects. Your role involves converting that raw material into a week’s worth of LinkedIn posts, video scripts, and content briefs.
• You will write or oversee the writing of 4–5 LinkedIn posts weekly in the Founder’s voice, in addition to scripts for 1–2 YouTube videos.
• You will manage an in-house videographer, graphic designer, and overseas editors. You will set the creative brief, review the output, and ensure that everything meets a high standard of quality.
• You will monitor the performance of various formats and platforms, sharing performance reports and recommendations with leadership on a regular basis.
• Exceptional writing skills. You excel at creating hooks that capture attention. You can simplify complex A/B testing insights, making them accessible, surprising, and shareable.
• Strategic mindset. You think not only about individual video concepts but also about reusable content formats that can be applied across our materials.
• Comfortable with data. While you don’t need to be a data scientist, you should be at ease with basic math (rates, averages, etc.). Our content relies on proprietary data, so you must understand it well enough to craft compelling stories.
• Proactive and resourceful. You learn quickly, take initiative, and don’t wait for instructions. When challenges arise, you identify them and implement solutions. You are the type of person who delivers answers rather than questions.
• Nice to Have: Awareness of video production. While you don’t need to shoot or edit, having an understanding of effective thumbnails, strong cold opens, and engaging video structures will enhance your effectiveness.
