This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Transform existing and future materials and resources (such as blog posts, Slack discussions, webinar recordings, reports, presentation decks, and interviews) into both short-form and long-form video content.
• Edit webinar recordings into highlight reels, micro-clips, social media teasers, and segments suitable for YouTube.
• Collaborate with writers and subject-matter experts to extract essential ideas and convert them into scripts or video narratives.
• Work closely with relevant team members to swiftly produce engaging video content on pertinent, time-sensitive issues that arise in the news cycle.
• Develop motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, and simple animations to enhance storytelling.
• Optimize videos for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Maintain consistent branding across all video outputs (including intros, outros, typography, color schemes, and tone).
• Oversee a content pipeline to effectively deliver multiple pieces of video content each week.
• Keep up to date with platform trends and propose new formats, editing styles, and creative methods.
• Organize and manage video assets, including raw footage, audio clips, and project files.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing or digital content production (experience with agencies, nonprofits, or media is advantageous).
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for video editing, animation, motion graphics, and captioning tools.
• Experience in visualization techniques using maps, data, typography, animation, and other skills that set you apart.
• Exceptional selection of music and sound design - treating audio as 50% of the edit and using sound to create a truly cinematic experience in conjunction with video.
• Strong knowledge of Meta and YouTube editing styles, social-first storytelling, and audience engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to draw stories from both written and conversational content.
• Comfortable juggling multiple projects and adhering to tight deadlines.
• Technical proficiency with workplace productivity applications, including but not limited to: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Strong capabilities in strategic planning, time and priority management, organization, administration and evaluation, team development, influence, and self-management.
• Experience in editing educational, community-focused, or mission-driven content (preferred).
• Understanding of SEO-friendly titles, thumbnails, and metadata (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like Descript for transcript-based editing (preferred).
• Proficient in using Generative AI for visual assets, including Midjourney, Runway, Veo, Nano Banana, etc. (preferred).
• Ability to produce lightweight graphics, templates, or brand-aligned visual components (preferred).
• Knowledge of livestream editing, podcast trimming, or multi-camera workflows (preferred).
