
Vice President, US M&A Tax

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage both international and domestic M&A transactions, which includes conducting tax due diligence and providing tax structuring services.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for all clients and partnerships at Leo Berwick.
• Deliver timely and high-quality tax advice, consistently striving to surpass client expectations.
• Collaborate closely with Partners and Directors on business development initiatives and various technical tax matters related to Subchapter C, Subchapter K, and both inbound and outbound international tax issues.
• Evaluate and assist clients with the quantitative and qualitative analysis of tax data within their financial projections for the transaction.
• Analyze tax components of merger agreements and legal documents; prepare tax opinion memorandums.
• Foster, motivate, and train Senior Associates and Associates.
• JD or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax Law, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration within a Big 4 firm, corporate tax department, or major law firm.
• 4 years of experience in planning and executing projects, including budget management.
• Ability to translate intricate tax concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.
• Exhibit strong writing, research, analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Function effectively in a fast-paced professional services environment while managing competing priorities.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail along with a commitment to technical excellence and quality assurance.
• Show strong leadership by mentoring junior team members and enhancing team performance.
• Take charge of deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met in a time-sensitive environment.
• Handle multiple engagements simultaneously, balancing client demands and internal priorities.
• Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment to address complex problems and proactively drive client results.
