This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee all national business development and revenue-generating efforts across the organization.

• Report directly to senior leadership.

• Formulate and implement strategic sales initiatives.

• Enhance customer relationships and establish a scalable, high-performing commercial organization.

• Drive national sales growth, improve market penetration, and boost overall revenue performance.

• Collaborate closely with operations, estimating, project management, and executive leadership to synchronize growth initiatives with operational execution and long-term business objectives.

• Foster profitable growth through relationship building and strategic market expansion.

• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, revenue planning, KPIs, pipeline development, and sales performance metrics.

• Identify, penetrate, and develop new vertical markets and geographic regions.

• Convey technical value propositions to owners, architects, consultants, and contractors.

• Assist in complex negotiated pursuits and long-cycle project opportunities.

• Align sales growth initiatives with operational capacity and execution capabilities.

• Work collaboratively across functions with operations, estimating, and project management teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of senior sales leadership experience in specialty construction, building envelope, waterproofing, restoration, or related commercial construction sectors.

• Proven history of driving sustained revenue growth and increasing regional or national market share.

• Successful track record in building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing sales and business development teams.

• Experience leading multi-market or national commercial growth initiatives.

• Strong executive presence with the capability to influence internal teams, ownership groups, and external clients.

• In-depth understanding of commercial construction sales cycles, contractor relationships, and negotiated project pursuits.

• Experience in developing and executing strategic growth plans across various territories or business units.

• Strong background in relationship-driven sales, key account management, and strategic partnerships.

• Ability to identify, penetrate, and expand into new vertical markets and geographic regions.

• Experience managing KPIs, forecasting, pipeline development, and sales performance metrics.

• Strong knowledge of waterproofing, façade restoration, air barriers, sealants, concrete restoration, or related building envelope systems.

• Familiarity with commercial construction delivery methods, estimating processes, and project execution workflows.

• Capability to communicate technical value propositions to owners, architects, consultants, and contractors.

• Experience in supporting complex negotiated pursuits and long-cycle project opportunities.

• Understanding of both union and non-union construction environments preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to manage forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning.

• Strong grasp of profitability drivers, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.

• Ability to align sales growth initiatives with operational capacity and execution capabilities.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with operations, estimating, and project management teams.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Strategic thinker with robust execution capability and market instincts.

• Highly relationship-driven with a visible and credible presence in the industry.

• Proficient in data-driven decision-making and market analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry leadership experience will be strongly considered.

• Experience in waterproofing and restoration contracting.

• Background in building envelope and façade systems.

• Experience in commercial specialty subcontracting environments.

• Experience working with developers, general contractors, architects, and consultants.

• Established relationships within commercial construction and restoration markets.

• Travel required based on territory and client engagement needs (~30–50%).
