Vice President – Technology, Payment Gateways

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the transition from Oracle Flexcube to Oracle Banking Payments (OBP) 14.7.

• Establish the target OBP architecture and phase out unnecessary legacy components.

• Integrate RTGS, SWIFT, ACH, ICCS, NPSS, and proprietary networks.

• Propel an API-first, modular, and microservices-driven modernization approach.

• Align business, operations, compliance, technology, and regional stakeholders regarding OBP priorities and rollout strategies.

• Act as a Payments subject matter expert in executive, regulatory, and strategic discussions.

• Promote real-time payments, ISO 20022, intelligent fraud detection and routing, automated reconciliation, repair automation, and predictive SLA monitoring.

• Oversee partner performance, SLAs, risks, escalations, roadmaps, statements of work, commercial aspects, and support frameworks.

• Build and nurture a high-performing team comprising platform engineers, business analysts, solution architects, and project managers.

• Set KPIs, facilitate training, career growth, knowledge sharing, and post-go-live capabilities.

• Ensure production stability, service continuity, BCP/DR preparedness, root-cause resolution, and preventive monitoring.

• Lead workshops across six countries to define workflows, regulatory requirements, configurations, exceptions, challenges, estimates, and governance.

• Consolidate workshop results into an approved scope, delivery plan, and resource allocation budget.

• Create governance frameworks for compliance, risk management, data privacy, and security.

• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators while implementing strategic improvement initiatives.

• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Ensure the payments ecosystem remains flexible and responsive to evolving market dynamics and regulatory demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in the payments sector.

• Proven success in leading intricate projects and initiatives.

• Extensive knowledge of payment systems, including RTGS, card networks, and digital payment solutions.

• Specialized focus on Oracle Flexcube and Oracle Banking Payments (OBP).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both business and technology teams.

• Profound expertise in payment systems and end-to-end processing.

• Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends.

• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.

• Strategic, proactive, and analytical mindset for problem-solving and decision-making.

• Experience in navigating changing priorities and successfully delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration.

• Additional certifications in payments or related fields are a plus.

• Strong project management abilities.
