This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy across the organization that fosters growth, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures long-term scalability.
• Provide executive-level guidance on technology investments, modernization priorities, and initiatives for digital transformation.
• Establish and maintain enterprise standards for system architecture, resilience, performance, and continuity of service.
• Ensure alignment of technology programs with business requirements, compliance obligations, and strategic goals.
• Lead the technology integration efforts for new lines of business as they emerge.
• Identify data security needs, identity consolidation, and systems rationale across various environments.
• Oversee the implementation of enterprise systems, including CRM, ERP/finance, CLM, member platforms, and program management systems.
• Direct the design, configuration, workflow mapping, and cross-functional adoption of systems.
• Manage integration strategies utilizing APIs, middleware, automation frameworks, and MDM principles to maintain a unified source of truth.
• Govern change management, system sustainability, documentation, and operational performance across all major platforms.
• Build and sustain secure and scalable data environments, including an enterprise data lake, data warehouses, and reporting ecosystems.
• Define and enforce data governance standards regarding taxonomy, metadata, lineage, retention, and quality.
• Ensure the data architecture is conducive to analytics, forecasting, reporting, and the adoption of emerging AI capabilities.
• Enhance data visibility, consistency, and reliability across various business functions.
• Lead the organization’s cybersecurity program, including policy development, identity and access controls, vulnerability management, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with federal standards such as NIST 800-171, CUI handling, DFARS requirements, CMMC readiness, and FedRAMP-aligned controls.
• Develop systems and processes for managing Classified Data as necessary.
• Oversee technology and cybersecurity risk management in accordance with federal and contractual obligations.
• Supervise incident response, audit preparation, third-party security evaluations, and planning for remediation.
• Act as the main point of contact for auditors, compliance consultants, and government technology representatives.
• Manage all IT operations, including service delivery, helpdesk support, cloud environments, on-premise infrastructure, network administration, and device management.
• Implement ITIL-aligned processes for change control, ticket management, escalation, and operational workflow management.
• Ensure reliable uptime, robust SLAs, and seamless employee access to technology services.
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, along with long-term infrastructure modernization strategies.
• Cultivate relationships with technology vendors, SaaS providers, MSPs, and system integrators.
• Manage contract evaluations, renewal strategies, licensing optimization, and cost management.
• Establish a framework for making build-versus-buy decisions and managing long-term platform lifecycles.
• Ensure vendor solutions adhere to performance, compliance, and security standards.
• Assess talent, identify gaps, and build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across IT operations, security, data architecture, systems administration, and enterprise applications.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance cross-functional engagement and promote organization-wide adoption of technology and security practices.
• Provide coaching, development, and clear expectations to guarantee operational excellence and professional growth.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the capability to obtain security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of progressive leadership in IT, cybersecurity, data architecture, or enterprise systems within regulated or high-security environments.
• Proven experience operating within government, DoD, defense-industrial base, or other compliance-driven sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, MDM, and data governance initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale system modernization, complex system integrations, and multi-platform digital transformation projects.
• Proven success in delivering full-lifecycle enterprise software implementations from conception to launch in multi-department, cross-functional settings.
• Strong program management skills, with extensive experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and technology evaluation.
• Demonstrated judgment in determining when to insource versus outsource technology functions, including structured transition planning and thorough capability assessments prior to assuming vendor-managed responsibilities.
• In-depth understanding of federal cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, including NIST 800-171, CMMC, DFARS, FedRAMP-aligned controls, and safeguarding requirements for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• Proven ability to design, map, and integrate cross-functional workflows that enhance scalability, efficiency, and data consistency.
• Experience in managing and developing technical teams across IT operations, security, data, and systems administration.
• Proficient in cloud-based enterprise technologies, IT infrastructure, and modern integration tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level collaboration skills.
